Let the Countdown Begin...

The countdown clock has begun.  Just 12 short months from now and Osama Bin Laden will take the next step in the Plan of Salvation as he will be posthumously baptized in one of the Lord's sacred temples (owned and operated by the Corporation of the Presiding Bishopric of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints).

Where is Osama now?  Well, President Brigham has answered the question: "Where is the spirit world? It is right here."  So yes, Osama Bin Laden is gone.  Sort of.

As a now deceased heathen terrorist, Osama is now resting in Spirit Prison awaiting a missionary who inevitably was honored with the blessing of departing this life during his best two years because the Lord needed him to continue his service on the other side of the veil.

That missionary will teach Osama Bin Laden about how America was actually the covenant land prepared to bring about the restoration of the gospel which can be proven by the fruit of American exceptionalism.

Undoubtedly that missionary, as Bin Laden demonstrates godly sorrow, will make the connection as to how the dying words of Lehi to his grandchildren (those belonging to Laman and Lemuel) apply to Osama Bin Laden:  "...for behold, I know that if ye are brought up in the way ye should go ye will not depart from it.  Wherefore, if ye are cursed, behold, I leave my blessing upon you, that the cursing may be taken from you and be answered upon the heads of your parents" (2 Nephi 4:3,5).

If Osama Bin Laden's parents hadn't been such America-hating anti-Christians, clearly he would have followed the Lord and been a faithful Latter-day Saint.

I anticipate a 1st Presidency fireside in one year's time, welcoming in as the newest member of the Church of Latter-day Saints, Brother Bin Laden.  Let the sign up sheet for refreshments be started now.

Polygamy - Brigham vs the Book of Mormon

"If any of you will deny the plurality of wives and continue to do so, I promise that you will be damned."  ~ Brigham Young - Deseret News November 14, 1855
"Wherefore, my brethren, hear me, and hearken to the word of the Lord: For there shall not be any man among you have save it be one wife; and concubines he shall have none; For I, the Lord God, delight in the chastity of women. And whoredoms are an abomination before me; thus saith the Lord of Hosts....For they shall not lead away captive the daughters of my people because of their tenderness, save I shall visit them with a sore curse, even unto destruction..."  ~ Book of Mormon - Jacob 2:27-28,33

The True Meaning of Easter

The fact of our Lord’s resurrection is based on the testimonies of many credible witnesses. The risen Lord appeared to several women, to the two disciples on the road to Emmaus, to Peter, to the Apostles; and “after that,” as Paul reported, “he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once. … And last of all he was seen of [Paul] also.” (1 Cor. 15:6, 8.)  ~ Ezra Taft Benson, The Meaning of Easter, April 1992

Remember who else was once considered a credible witness?

LDS views on the sun and future of the earth

"... So it is with regard to the inhabitants of the sun. Do you think it is inhabited? I rather think it is. Do you think there is any life there? No question of it; it was not made in vain. It was made to give light to those who dwell upon it, and to other planets; and so will this earth when it is celestialized."

JD 13:271 - p.272, Brigham Young, July 24, 1870
